- Highlights data: the text you save, related article URLs, and your comments.
- Profile data: avatar, bio, and other optional profile fields you enter.
- Technical data: basic usage logs and error reports to keep the app reliable.
- Device storage: we store cached session and highlight data in your browser to make the extension responsive.
How we use information
- Provide the core product features (saving, viewing, and sharing highlights).
- Authenticate you and keep your session active.
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and monitor performance.
Sharing and processing
We use Supabase to store data and manage authentication. Supabase processes data on our behalf under their privacy and security terms. We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies and local storage
The website and extension use browser storage to keep you signed in and to cache highlights for faster loading. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you want to delete your data, contact us and we will handle the request.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. Use a strong password and keep your device secure.
Children's privacy
Quotd is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
